Act as an advisory and educational body for Wisconsin counties on State of Wisconsin solid waste, recycling, and resource recovery policies and programs.
Advocate on behalf of Wisconsin counties on solid waste, recycling, and resource recovery efforts.
Promote harmonious relations and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between its members, other public officials, the people they represent and other solid waste management and resource recovery agencies, organizations and companies.
Into The Outdoors - Becoming Stewards
In collaboration with the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) - Badger Chapter, we are excited to bring you a new edition of the award-winning educational series Into The Outdoors. A coalition of Wisconsin Solid Waste and Wastewater Treatment Industry Organizations will be offering a presentation on PFAS, July 29th at 1:00 PM (CST) for legislators, community leaders, and interested parties.
The presentation will explain:
PFAS are a global issue affecting all aspects of product use: from source, to supply, to consumers, to disposal
Mitigation is expensive and will require thoughtful planning
Regulations are need to be well-founded in fact and science
