WHAT WE DO
​Advisory & Education
Act as an advisory and educational body for Wisconsin counties on State of Wisconsin solid waste, recycling, and resource recovery policies and programs.

Advocate
Advocate on behalf of Wisconsin counties on solid waste, recycling, and resource recovery efforts.
Networking
Promote harmonious relations and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between its members, other public officials, the people they represent and other solid waste management and resource recovery agencies, organizations and companies.
​We partner with AROW and SWANA-WI Badger Chapter to co-host the annual Wisconsin Integrated Resource Management Conference (WIRMC).
Solid Waste & Recycling Learning Center (online)
​We partner with AROW, Recycling Connections, and SWANA-WI Badger Chapter to offer online trainings for integrated resource management professionals. The first course, Solid Waste & Recycling 101 in Wisconsin, launched June 2024. The first course was developed for those new to the industry or for those who are new to Wisconsin doing business in the resource recovery and waste management industry. It is designed to give participants common language and foundational knowledge of the industry while providing background on laws and regulations for managing waste and recycling resources in Wisconsin.
PFAS Coalition - Solid Waste & Recycling
​A coalition of solid waste professionals in Wisconsin formed in 2019 to educate and inform our industry members, lawmakers, and the public about the relationship between PFAS and our waste and recycling industry.
Into The Outdoors - Becoming Stewards
​In collaboration with the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) - Badger Chapter, we are excited to bring you a new edition of the award-winning educational series Into The Outdoors. "Becoming Stewards: Uncovering the Solid Waste Story." This video raises awareness of the solid waste industry within Wisconsin. Click on the logo to view!
